CBSC ने 2024 exams से पहले students and parents के लिए मुफ़्त psychological counselling शुरू किया।
New Delhi, January 5, 2024 — The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has taken a significant step to address the mental health concerns of students preparing for Class 10 and 12 board exams. As of January 1, 2024, the board has introduced a dedicated psychological counselling service to offer support both before and after the declaration of results.
The tele-counselling system, a commendable initiative by the CBSE, is staffed with a team of 65 experienced counselors, special educators, and school principals. Operating daily from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm, the service aims to provide timely assistance to students grappling with exam-related stress and anxiety.
Students and parents can access the helpline by dialing the toll-free number 1800-11-8004. The helpline offers information on frequently asked questions, tips for managing exam stress, and effective time management strategies. Notably, the service is available in both Hindi and English, ensuring accessibility for a wider audience.
In addition to the tele-counselling service, the CBSE has announced plans to launch a series of podcasts on its official website. These podcasts will cover a range of topics, including exam strategies and relaxation techniques, providing additional resources for students to navigate the challenges of board exams.
Parents across the country have expressed appreciation for this proactive step by the CBSE. Ramesh Padhye, a parent from Pune, stated, "The board's counselling service is a welcome addition, especially considering the high levels of anxiety associated with Class 10 and 12 board exams. It will undoubtedly serve as a valuable resource for both students and parents."
Recognizing the toll that board exams can take on the mental well-being of students, the CBSE's initiative reflects a commitment to holistic education and the overall well-being of the student community. The tele-counselling service and upcoming podcast series are expected to play a crucial role in providing much-needed support during the challenging exam period and beyond.
